And as clearly good news go in pairs … we not only got a major project paper out (see the previous post), but also were awarded extra time on Joliot/Curie supercomputer at TGCC (‘au fil de l’eau’ = director’s discretion) – one of the major national French supercomputing centers. This effectively doubles our time allocation for this year !
This is great news as it will help us to capitalize on the work we did for the map-making paper and use the codes which are ported, validated, and thus ready to use at TGCC to start investigating some important and timely scientific issues.
